– Investigation of shore & ship difference
– First foot sampling
– During/ after loading sampling
– Ullage Survey of liquid and liquefied cargoes
– OBQ/ ROB measurement
– Supervision of loading/ Unloading
– Laboratory Testing and Retain sampling
– Shore tank inspection and measurement
Draft survey
A draft survey is used to determine the weight of cargo loaded or discharged from a ship by measuring changes in the ship’s draft (the vertical distance between the waterline and the keel). This survey is commonly employed in maritime shipping, especially for bulk cargo vessels, to assess the quantity of cargo loaded or unloaded.
Draft surveys are crucial for verifying the quantity of cargo transported, especially in bulk carriers where direct measurement of the cargo can be challenging. Accurate draft surveys help in ensuring that the cargo quantities declared on shipping documents align with the actual amounts loaded or discharged, contributing to fair and transparent maritime trade practices.
– Draft Survey of dry bulk cargoes like Urea, Sulphur, Clinker, etc.
– Supervision of Loading/ discharge
– Ship’s holds cleanliness inspections prior to loading
– Superintendence of cargo loading
– Inspection of hatch cover’s watertight
Conducting a draft survey requires expertise from a qualified surveyor who understands the principles of naval architecture, buoyancy, and cargo operations.
The importance of draft surveys in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of cargo quantity information during maritime shipping.
Focus on holds inspection
It is always wise to have the hold checked thoroughly before the cargo is loaded. There can be contamination hiding in plain sight (like rust flakes on the side of the hold, remnants of previous cargo in corners, etc…) but also in the closing system of the hatches which can contaminate and discolor your merchandise.
we make sure that the carrier’s condition is suitable for transporting your cargo.
Agricultural cargo inspections
Our inspection services help shippers or traders to assess the quality, quantity and integrity of their products. We act as monitors of the loading, unloading and weighing operations, check the calibration of the scales and validity of their license and draw samples for tests.
